#1 Camp - Munsungan Stream

Location: Munsungan Stream T8 R9
  • 3 log cabins built in the 40's high on the bank of Munsungan Stream. New to the Libbys in 2010. Two sleeping cabins and one cook camp. Beautiful view of Libby Pinnacle to the south and Munsungan Stream to the east and west. Accessible by gravel road or canoe trip. Open fall of 2010 after we do extensive upgrades. Great quiet location for a family getaway.

 

Brown Pond

Location: T8 R9
  • New cabin in 2006, built of cedar logs with 4 beds, great view of the lake within 100 feet of the dock. 90 acre Trout pond reached by 15 minute trail or seaplane. Great hunting, fishing or just relaxing under the big hemlocks. 2 canoes and 17' square stern canoe. Bring your drinking water.
   

Chandler Pond East

Location: T8R10
  • Picturesque site reached by seaplane or boat from inlet end. Fishing available on Chandler and nearby fly fishing pond. Cabin used in conjunction with our guided and special package trips -- some limited space available. Cabin has 15' canoe, 17' square stern canoe, three double beds and one single bed. Spring for drinking water.
   

Chandler Pond West

Location: T8 R10
  • Long narrow pond nestled in a deep valley with many small ponds nearby. Cabin sets lake side on a bluff near the inlet of the pond. Good gravel road access (48 miles from Ashland over gravel logging roads). Brook trout and landlocked salmon. Cabin has two double beds and three single beds. Cabin has 14' boat, kayak and 17' canoe. Spring for drinking water.
   

Clear Lake

Location: T10 R11
  • Two log cabins on deep clear picturesque lake known for huge lake trout and brookies. Fly fishing pond within walking distance. Historic cabins built for J.P. Morgan family nearly a century ago. Accessed by 4x4, boat or seaplane. 50 miles from Ashland over gravel logging road. Replacement log cabin built in 1998. One cabin for eating/sleeping second for sleeping. Great for two family groups. Two double and five single beds, plus four cots in two cabins. Fishing available on Clear Lake, Third, Fourth Musquacook Lakes, Upper Elbow Pond and Little and Big Pleasant Lakes. 2 - 14' boats, kayak and 17' canoe at camp. Canoes on Little Pleasant. Spring nearby for water.
   

Echo Lake

Location: T9 R11
  • Aroostook River headwater pond surrounded by high ridges and tall pines. Deep clear 100 acre pond with lake trout, salmon and brookies. A great cabin to use as a base to explore the north wood, with many fly fishing ponds and streams nearby reached by trail or logging roads. 50 miles from Ashland over gravel roads, and within ten miles of Churchil Dam on the Allagash River. Cabin has 2 14' boats, kayak and 17' canoe,two double beds and six single beds in three bedrooms. Spring brook for drinking water.
   

Lower Hudson Pond

Location: T10 R10
  • Very remote 100 acre pond most easily reached by seaplane, by half mile trail or for true jeep trail lovers, over a terrible 4x4 road. Beautiful hourglass shaped pond, surrounded by high mountains and rocky shorelines. Cabin has limited availability. Good fishing for landlocked salmon and brookies. Hiking trail to nearby Upper Hudson Pond, (fly fishing only) with canoe stashed there. Lower Hudson Pond has a 14' Deep V Boat, a 17' canoe, kayak and a 17' square stern canoe. Six double and four single beds in two connected cabins.
   

Mooseleuk Lake

Location: T10 R9
  • Large marsh lake with excellent views of the Rocky Brook Mountains. No better wildlife watching area in Maine; moose and other wildlife seen daily along the shores. Lake is part of a state waterfowl project. Excellent trout fishing in streams and deadwaters reached by boat, fly fishing stream within walking distance. 2 Cabins. Cook camp has one bed and two single beds. Extra sleeping camp with 3 double beds and one single bed. There is a 17' canoe, a kayak and a 17' square stern canoe at Mooseleuk Lake. Accessible by seaplane (best) or 4x4 road. Cabin area can be buggy from late May to mid-July.
   

Mooseleuk Stream

Location: T8 R8
  • New log cabin located at the junction of Mooseleuk Stream and the Aroostook River. Fly fishing only on stream, artificial lures only on Aroostook River. Excellent moose watching area. Camp sits in a mowed glade. Cabin is accessible by canoe or gravel road gated two miles from camp, 4x4 vehicle required with good ground clearance. River areas can have more insects than others, be ready. Cabin has one double bed and six single beds and a 17' canoe. No spring, so bring your own drinking water.
   

River Camp

Location: T8 R8
  • Junction pool where Millinocket and Munsungan Streams merge to form the Aroostook River. Historic halfway camp when customers arrived by canoe to our home camps on Millinocket Lake. Prettiest site on the Aroostook River, pool holds salmon and trout. 15 miles from Oxbow over gravel logging roads with the last mile privately gated (low clearance cars not recommended). Cabin has one double and four single beds. canoe. New road and cabin upgrades for 2006. River sites can have more biting insects in June/early July. Spring for drinking water.
